- Cost reduction program for a Business Unit of one of the largest Iberian companies.
- The industry was in a phase of disruption and accelerated transition to new business models, and exposed to the risk of erosion of profitability levels.
- A Multi-Annual Cost Reduction Program was developed, with an optimisation target in the tens of millions of euros (a 15% cost reduction).
- Governance was based on a coordination team that leveraged the efforts of four other teams: – Spain, Portugal, International and Iberian Industry, – working in three vectors of optimisation: – Contract Renegotiation, Process Optimisation and New Opportunities.
- After two and a half years the goal was achieved. By the fourth year, benefits were calculated, on an annual basis, as 150% of the initial target, and with continuous improvement teams spread across the business, articulated by a small central hub.
