IBERIZATION OF RETAIL OPERATIONS

  • Leadership and coordination of the project to define a new strategy at the Iberian level for a retail chain business, and creating an operational model for the commercial network that leverages the best practices of the three companies involved.
  • The biggest obstacle to overcome was the big difference in the relative size of the company in the two markets: Portugal (leader) and Spain (below the top 3).
  • The main objective was to define the optimal networks for Portugal and Spain, in terms of size and geography, as well as the company’s positioning in each of these markets: “where to be and in what formats, which operating models to use and with what value proposition.”
