INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND SUSTAINABILITY IN BRAZIL

  • A major Brazilian transport infrastructure company requested an Integrated Management Program for Efficiency and Sustainability in order to prepare itself for the organisation of a major international competitive event in Rio de Janeiro.
  • Seventy relevant actions were identified and pre-analysed, of which forty were recommended for phased implementation, and twenty were classified as critical to be completed before the start date of the event. An efficiency of 20% was achieved and the savings opportunities were estimated at around USD $10 million.
  • A framework was defined for the sPMO (sustainability Program Management Office), a program management team to monitor ongoing projects with an impact on efficiency and sustainability, and aligned with the strategic objectives and the Rationalisation Plan.
