- Company from Madeira, with an annual turnover of around 10 million euros, part of a business group, operating both in the retail and wholesale market, and developing technical assistance and logistics activities. The Group had doubts about the company’s potential and wanted advice on what would be the best decision to make from a portfolio perspective. We were asked to carry out a strategic diagnosis, an assessment of the potential for optimisation and synergies, and an evaluation of the value of the company, before and after synergies.
- Given the sensitivity of the subject and the uncertainty involving future strategic options, the project was developed in a particularly discreet manner, with only one element from the company and one from the Group. A four stages methodology was applied: diagnosis / ideation / model structuring and initiative design.
- The financial basis of the information was adequately structured and a valuation model was developed. The synergies plan designed had a significant impact on the company’s valuation, exceeding 40%.
